Physical Education

ElePhysical Education ClassThe Physical Education program serves all academic departments: Elementary, Middle, High and Special Needs. The goals of the department are to: Develop an acceptable level of fitness, an understanding of the components of fitness, and an appreciation for the lifelong value of fitness through personalized physical education activities. To develop physical skills and acquire knowledge of efficient and creative movement through participation in a sequential program of varied activities and develop an appreciation for the value of this type of movement. To develop an awareness of safety practices and procedures. Through the Elementary, Middle and High School levels of Physical Education, our mission is to help students recognize the importance of lifelong fitness.


The goals of the department are to help students:

  • develop an understanding of the components of fitness
  • develop appreciation for the lifelong value of fitness
  • develop physical skills
  • acquire knowledge and appreciation of efficient and creative movement
  • develop an awareness of safety practices and procedures
  • develop healthy behaviors that lead to a quality lifestyle
