Family Education & Early Childhood Assessments

The Child Outcomes Summary (COS) measures young children's development from infancy to pre-kindergarten. The three outcomes/measurements are: positive social-emotional skills, acquisition and use of knowledge and skills, and use of appropriate behaviors to meet their needs.

The Early Learning Assessment (ELA) is a formative assessment tool to assist teachers with documenting and tracking their students' progress in addition to planning individualized instruction. This assessment is utilized in preschool and pre-kindergarten classes.
