Applications will be prescreened before candidates
are invited for personal interview.
Candidates appointed to this position may be assigned
duties which require the operation of a state motor
vehicle.
All applicants must apply to the Maryland State Police
for a criminal background investigation at their own
expense. (Maryland Code, Family Law Article I, Sections
5-560 - 5-568.)
Employees in this classification are subject to substance
abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations
06.01.09, Testing for Illegal use of Drugs.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States under the United State Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.
The Maryland Public Information Act protects the Confidentiality
of personnel records for state employees. However, personnel
records may be subject to disclosure pursuant to a subpoena
or judicial order. Any current or former MSD employee
may inspect and request copies to the personnel file
maintained by MSD for that employee. The employee must
schedule an appointment with the Personnel Office so
that the file can be available for review.
The employee may request in writing to the Superintendent
correction or removal of inaccurate, irrelevant, outdated
or incomplete information from his or her file. The
final decision for request rest with the Superintendent.
It is the responsibility of the employee to report to
the supervisor any changes in address, telephone or
person(s) to be notified in case of emergency.
