Two-Hour Delay with Reevaluation — Monday, February 23.
Due to inclement weather, Maryland School for the Deaf is opening on Monday, February 23, on a two-hour delay.
Frederick County Public School (FCPS) will re-evaluate by 7:00am. Howard County Public School System (HCPSS) will re-evaluate by 7:30am. If FCPS or HCPSS decide to close, both of MSD’s campuses too will close. If both FCPS and HCPSS remain on a two-hour delayed opening, there will be no additional announcement and classes will begin at 10:00am.
Maintenance, housekeeping, dietary, student life and nursing staff should follow their direct supervisor’s instructions. Twelve-month employees can use liberal leave or work from home with their supervisor’s permission.
