Alumni Association

George Veditz is one of the most known MSD alumnus for his numerous endeavors, including the 1913 “Preservation of Sign Language” project and the National Association of the Deaf presidency. Not many realize that Mr. Veditz also founded the Maryland School for the Deaf Alumni Association in 1892.

The Maryland School for the Deaf Alumni Association (MSDAA) organizes social events for the alumni to stay connected with their classmates and with MSD. We are one of the oldest alumni associations in the country with over 800 members. The association is for any alumni who attended or graduated from the Maryland School for the Deaf.

MSDAA supports the school in a variety of ways, including:

  • Fundraising
  • Awards and scholarships
  • Reunions
  • Alumni Day
  • Volunteer recruitment for school and community events
