Math Whizzes at National Competition

MSD's Math Team participated in the annual National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) Math Competition hosted at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) on April 6-7.
The team is well-represented by middle school students Ethan Guettler, Keanu Herzig-Wilcox, Josiah Lockhart and Pat Tessitore and coaches Sherry Bradley-Koo and Deanna Gibson.
Over two days, our student-mathletes competed in fast-paced individual and team rounds against and alongside Deaf and hard of hearing peers from schools and programs for the deaf across the United States and Canada. MSD placed 8th out of 45 teams.
Congratulations to our math team for their hard work and for representing MSD so well at the national competition!
