Title IX

In accordance with Title IX regulations, the Maryland School for the Deaf (MSD) maintains a strong commitment to nondiscrimination in all educational programs, activities, and employment practices.

MSD does not discriminate on the basis of sex, including in admissions and transfer requests. While certain provisions of Title IX Regulations (Subpart C) do not directly apply to K-12 institutions like MSD, the school remains steadfast in its dedication to providing an inclusive and equitable environment for all.

To ensure compliance and address any questions or concerns related to sex-based discrimination, including issues such as sexual harassment, assault, dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, and gender-based harassment, MSD has designated and authorized a Title IX Coordinator. This individual serves as a point of contact for anyone within the school community seeking assistance or information regarding Title IX matters.
