Admission Screening Procedure

Every applicant seeking admission into any of MSD's educational programs must visit MSD with a parent or legal guardian for admission screening assessments before enrollment can be offered. Applicants 18 years of age or older may apply independently.

The admission screening assessments may include a personal interview, review of case history, audiological testing, educational testing, and/or psychological testing. Some screening tests may not be required if the Admission Review Team determines that a comparable assessment has been completed during the previous six months. The results of all screening tests will assist the review team in determining whether or not the student meets the criteria for admission into the MSD program.

MSD also requires that any existing educational assessment reports, psychological assessment reports and audiological/medical files be provided to the Director of Admissions prior to the date of the screening appointment. All current and past student information will be reviewed and considered when determining  whether or not a student is eligible for admission into MSD.
